USB Controller

The ScopeDomeUSB driver is an universal microprocessor system which controls the observatory. It is designed to control both types of amateur observatories roll off roof and domes as well.

It allows independent manual or automatic control of the dome. Using a USB port it communicates with the program installed on a PC (windows) computer which automatically synchronizes the motion of the dome with any standard telescope system supported by ASCOM.

The driver allows you to control direction of two AC motors. One of them turns the dome, the other opens or closes the observatory shutter. Both motors are connected to limit switches. In addition, the driver is equipped with four relays that can be used to power any devices in the observatory, for example: the telescope, CCD camera, lighting and ventilation.

A manually operated external switch is available as an optional extra to open and close the dome and control its rotation
